How To Sleep With Someone Who Snores
When you get married there are certain things that you know you will just have to live with. Snoring is one of those things that you pray you never have to. Unfortunately there are many of us who have a partner that snores so loudly that we wonder why it doesn’t wake the whole neighborhood.
For these people mouthpieces will help to slow it down and make it quieter – but not stop it completely. Rather than getting frustrated over the situation learn what you can do to sleep through it.
Soothing Sounds
One thing that helps me to drown out the sounds of the snoring is to play soft music or soothing sounds next to my side of the bed. I will plug in the box fan and turn on some Enya. If music doesn’t help than buy a sleep machine. You can choose between the ocean, thunder, or soothing rain to fall asleep too.
Fall Asleep First
If there is nothing in the world that can drown out the noise than you might find it easier if you fell asleep before they did. Try to go to bed thirty minutes before them. By the time they fall asleep you should be deep in REM sleep.
Ear Plugs
If you are like some people than you are a light sleeper. This means that even if you are asleep first the moment he starts up you wake up. Nothing is worse than being woken up from a deep sleep at three in the morning. Put ear plugs in at night before you go to bed. Get the thick foam so that you hear absolutely nothing.
